Setup options: This program offers several different options for setup. One of these options is Strict User Mode, which lets you set a hot key to keep your cursor on one particular monitor in a multimonitor configuration. You can also use User Mode to select hot keys to lock the cursor in whatever window you’re currently working in, no matter which monitor or program you’re using. And you can even set up hot keys to simultaneously open a program and lock the cursor via Program Mode.

Cons

Skimpy help:There is a Help file buried in the program’s Documentation resource, but it doesn’t provide much useful information. Instructions are not too clear, and while it’s obvious the program has many features, the manual doesn’t explain how to access or make the best use of them.

Poor interface: The interface of this app is not at all intuitive and very plain. There are no explanations for anything, and it’s not clear which step you should complete first. This, coupled with the lack of useful Help, makes Cursor Lock a difficult program to get the hang of. Once you do, though, it works as intended.

Bottom Line

Cursor Lock does do the job it promises. But it’s a little harder than it seems like it should be to get the results you’re looking for. The program is completely free to download and use, though, so there’s not harm in checking it out to see if it’s a good fit for your needs.
