Weather Watcher is a sleek application that gives users detailed weather information on their desktops. With an attractive interface and plenty of features, Weather Watcher is a great tool for users who enjoy keeping tabs on the weather.

The program’s interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, with its major features organized in tabs. When the program is running it displays the current temperature in the system tray; mousing over it displays detailed information about the current weather conditions, the day’s forecast, sunrise and sunset, moon phase, and more. Double clicking on the temperature pulls up the program’s full interface, with tabs displaying current conditions as well as hourly and daily forecasts. Some of the program’s features, such as the maps and alerts, open a separate WeatherBug browser window, which is a bit annoying. The Options menu offers users plenty of ways to customize their Weather Watcher experience, with lots of choices for tweaking how the program looks and behaves. We especially liked the option that allowed us to set a localized weather map as our desktop wallpaper. The program’s Help file is well-written and thorough. Overall, we found Weather Watcher very easy to use, and we think it’s a great way to get detailed, up-to-date weather information in an accessible format.
