Those who often cut and paste text or other information may have the need to go back and track these items. Ondesoft ClipBuddy for Mac archives and manages clipboard usage well for those who need it.

Ondesoft ClipBuddy for Mac is available to try for free for 15 days with no additional restrictions. The full version requires payment of $29.95 to unlock. Installation takes place without issues and prompts the user to enter a full version product key when it first starts. This can be dismissed if the user wants to use the trial version. The program itself did not have any instructions, which was a disappointment due to the confusing interface and unclear program features. After some searching, we located instructions via the developer’s Web page. Basically, the program tracks cutting and pasting to the computer clipboard over time. Users can later go back and reorganize the information for better retrieval and organization. When the program is loaded in the background, it automatically stores anything copied, including text from word processors or Internet URLs, among others. The small interface is difficult to read in its default size, but this can be changed. The program works well, but those who do not constantly organize the data will likely find the amount of information unmanageable after a few days of steady use.

While basic and lacking an intuitive interface, Ondesoft ClipBuddy for Mac performs its limited function well, and may be a viable option for those few users who need to track and organize clipboard use.

Users who want to apply audio files to their project may need to edit them first. Ondesoft Audio Recorder for Mac, despite its basic interface, applies desired, albeit limited, modifications to songs or other audio files.

Ondesoft Audio Recorder for Mac offers a free trial version, which limits playback to two minutes of audio. Unlocking the full version requires a $29.95 payment. The program’s small size allowed for a fast installation. Other than a pop-up menu describing the trial version and requesting a key to unlock the program, setup did not require any user actions. It is unclear if support is available for the program, and, outside of a basic help menu, there are no dedicated instructions. Buttons along the interface’s top row easily identify functions to add programs from which to record and microphones to use. After some trial and error, the recording functions became clear, but a tutorial would have been helpful. Once imported into the program, files can be cropped and sections of audio removed through a simple menu. Users can click and drag to highlight sections of the file for cutting or removal. Playback of the modified files is as expected. Unfortunately, the audio editing options are limited, and additional features would have been useful.

Ondesoft Audio Recorder for Mac, while functional, lacks audio-editing features of other, more comprehensive programs.

Ondesoft Screen Capture for Mac is a screen capture utility that works on Mac OS X machines and provides a number of useful screen-grabbing features. The licensed version of Ondesoft Screen Capture for Mac costs $29.95. Ondesoft Screen Capture for Mac installs easily.

The Ondesoft Screen Capture for Mac interface is clean and simple. A docked icon can expand to show the simple interface or you can shortcut the most commonly used capture processes. Icons let you choose whether to capture the full screen, a region, a menu, a window (scrolling and fixed), or all windows on the desktop. A timer can be invoked to allow you time to set the image up properly (such as displaying a pop-up menu). Once a screen capture has been obtained, an editing tool appears that lets you modify the image and save it, or you can have the files saved automatically to the desktop or clipboard. The editing tools are pretty good for a built-in editor, with adjustment of image and text overlays that should meet almost all requirements. You can save the output from Ondesoft Screen Capture for Mac in a number of formats. Some special effects like frames are included.

Ondesoft Screen Capture for Mac worked well in our testing. We could capture pretty much anything we saw on our screens, including very long scrolling windows, with ease. The editing tools were good enough for most of our needs. We had no problems with Ondesoft Screen Capture for Mac. Although the price is higher than most people will like, the tool works solidly.
