RegScrubXP’s clean, logical, and informational interface is one of the best we’ve tested in this genre. The interface uses large easy-to-read text function buttons. Found information is displayed in a spreadsheet format. Columns are easily resized, but can’t be sorted. Novice users can well use the application with just a pair of functions, but the program includes many tools for advanced users.

RegScrubXP’s Registry scan isn’t the fastest we’ve tested, but it’s still speedy enough to satisfy most users. The program displays the section, key, and problem description for every bad Registry key. It takes just a pair of clicks to select all found problems and remove them. Advanced users can just as easily choose a problem and click to browse to the key’s folder or Registry entry. Another function click adds selected keys to an exclusion folder while that folder is as easily emptied. The application stores deleted key information, and it’s easy to return selected keys by deletion date.
