Newcomers to astrology should not have a hard time navigating or interpreting this simple screen.

The program is light on special features, which is actually a blessing, since it keeps the functionality focused. Overall, this freeware program is a great tool for those interested in learning more about themselves through Tamil astrology.

MB Vastu Shastra provides users with a tool to align their home using this ancient Indian architectural principle. While learning the program can be difficult, its results are worth the added effort.

The program’s interface will take some experimenting. This is because the program’s online Help file does little more than explain what Vastu Shastra is supposed to do. Luckily, there are several drop-down menus and intuitive fields that eventually will feel natural and help to organize your home. Users must first enter the dimensions of their living space in feet. This is represented in a square diagram at the side of the page. From there, they select each room in their home, its dimensions, and drag that space into its proper position in the diagram. Users organize their entire home, as well as properly align it with its cardinal directions using a drop-down menu. Finally, a screen appears with your home’s analysis. This gives tips on where better to have certain rooms and what the results will be. The program does not really offer any special features to enhance its tools. We would have liked to see a tutorial about Vastu Shastra for newcomers, but feel comfortable this information can be easily obtained elsewhere.

While the program is initially hard to master, we feel that it is worth the effort because of its fascinating results. We highly recommend this freeware program.

If you’re not already familiar with Vedic astrology, MB Janam Kundali will not be of much use to you. The program calculates the planets’ positions at a user’s time of birth, providing the results in North, South, or East Indian styles. Users who know how to use this information should find this to be a useful program, but don’t expect any explanation if you’re a Vedic novice.

The first screen of the program is cluttered, with the Continue button tucked in among ads and text boxes advising users how they can extend their trial period beyond 30 days or purchase the program. Past that, the interface is fairly straightforward, providing simple boxes for users to enter their relevant birth information. The program offers to find the latitude and longitude of the user’s birthplace, but that feature takes users to a Google results page that they must sort through to find and enter the information for themselves. The program offers the resulting birth charts in a clean, easy-to-read format. Users who purchase the program can save the charts as JPEGs. The results page suggests that users visit a free astrology message board, for analysis of the charts; this may be a useful suggestion if you don’t mind wading through a site cluttered with ads.

The software will install a desktop icon, and uninstalling the program will leave a folder in the user’s Program Files. Overall, the program does what it should, but the interface could be cleaner, and novice astrologers will need additional resources to interpret their results.

A Help file is available, though it only defines the program’s functions and not the terminology of astrology. Determining our astrological compatibility proved to be harder than imagined. The birthday, time of birth, and longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates of you and your mate’s birth are all required and may take some research to input. However, once we entered this information, we were blown away by the wealth of data this program interpreted. Not only did it read out how well two mates can work together and give a detailed reason for such, but many other items were outlined. From our lucky numbers to personality traits and even our appearance, every imaginable angle of the user and their mate’s Vedic astrology is shown.

The program has no special features, which didn’t bother us, thanks to its impressive functionality. We highly recommend this freeware download to anyone interested in compatibility and Vedic astrology.

MB Horoscope Compatibility provides a simple way for two people to tell if the stars think they are a good match. By entering some basic information, users will have fun reading the results.

The program’s interface is very intuitive, consisting mostly of a well-labeled main screen asking for data in open boxes. The answers are easily read, even if one doesn’t understand astrology, but also provides enough detail for experts. The Help file is so basic it is best ignored. Getting a reading is very simple, providing you have specific information about both parties. Users can enter one person’s name, birth date, time of birth, city of birth, and longitude and latitude of their birthplace. Anyone unfamiliar with the coordinates can click a link that provides the information. Users enter the same information for the other person in an identical field. The answers come instantly and consist of a few paragraphs regarding some vague astrological comments, some ratings and whether their relationship is good or bad. This will be helpful and fun for all users. However, only very experienced users will find interest in the final portion, a confusing collection of numbers and astrological points dealing with Natal Position. The program’s best feature is the option to choose between Western Astrology and Vedic Astrology readings. Both operate the same, but give results based on those specific beliefs.

The program did leave behind a folder in our Program Files that had to be manually removed. But thanks to simple layout and fun results for all levels of users, this freeware program is a great test for a relationship.

MB Love Test Finished is a free suite of different resources that use various esoteric systems (Numerology, Kundali, etc.) to test the compatibility of two partners. All of them function in essentially the same way: users input their personal data and get back a variety of reports.

A number of issues plague what is potentially a fun tool. A few of the reports were overly simplistic, and some of the predictors won’t work unless your region is set as the U.S. Some spelling errors and an overall rudimentary interface give the whole program a somewhat amateurish feel. However, the zodiac reports were thorough, and the Kundali section was especially impressive. We particularly liked finding out if our potential partners were considered “Barren” or “Fruitful.” It can be annoying to have to enter detailed information about things like the exact latitude of the place you were born, and the program could be easily improved by requesting that kind of thing only once, instead of making you go through the same process for each different report.

Unfortunately, the program installs desktop icons without permission, and after uninstalling, it leaves a folder in the Program Files. Also, there are way too many plugs for donations and registration. Some users might miss a little more in the way of explanation, but there’s enough here to appeal to most people who are interested in seeing what various esoteric systems predict for their love life.
