There’s a ton of great video content on the Internet, and Dailymotion is one of the most popular sources for it. The unfortunate thing about online videos, of course, is the fact that they can’t be viewed if you’re somewhere without an Internet connection. Improved DailyMotion Downloader makes it easy to download videos from Dailymotion in a variety of formats, letting you entertain yourself with videos even when you’re offline.

The program really couldn’t be easier to use. It appears as an icon in your computer’s system tray, and to download a video you simply navigate to the desired content in your Web browser and then click the icon. The program automatically detects the video and asks where and in which format you’d like to save it: AVI, MP3, AAC, 3GP, or FLV. We especially like the MP3 option, which lets users easily pull audio off of videos, making it a quick–if ethically and legally questionable–means of acquiring the latest songs. The program does not come with a Help file, but we can’t say that this is a significant drawback; it has few features and they’re all quite intuitive. Overall, Improved DailyMotion Downloader didn’t do anything we haven’t seen from other video downloaders, but it’s easy to use and works reliably, so we have no complaints.

Improved DailyMotion Downloader installs a desktop icon without asking and leaves a Start menu icon and folder behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users.
