]]> Despite its somewhat disorderly interface, Fast Cleaner does a decent job clearing garbage files from your PC. The first and most frustrating step in using the program is scanning your drive. The application window is compact and easy to comprehend, but the dark color scheme makes it nearly impossible to see how the scan is progressing. Clicking the Options button lets you choose which drives and file types to include or exclude from a scan and also offers a few filtering choices. The Details button shows which files are going to be deleted. We miss the ability to schedule regular cleanup sessions, and were annoyed the search results repeatedly included files the program couldn’t delete for some reason (for example, because they were system files or files in use). Still, if you can get past those issues, Fast Cleaner is not much worse than a horde of similar utilities.
