A handy wizard will walk neophyte users through every step of the process, and more-advanced users can start from scratch and enter their own parameters. Images can be placed on top of one another and individually adjusted for opacity, allowing users to artistically blend multiple photos. We also liked that the program lets users select custom background colors. A basic image editor supplies useful features like cropping, rotating, and controls for contrast and brightness. The program’s built-in Help file is brief but adequate. Overall, we think Picture Merge Genius is a great choice for users who want to combine multiple images but aren’t comfortable working in more-advanced photo-editing programs.
