This freeware accurately splits multipage TIFF files with efficiency and reliability, but truncates the new filenames. With TIFF Splitter’s simple interface, the process is easy for users of all levels. We found the program quick and memory-efficient. However, the speed of splitting the images depends greatly upon the number of pages and files processed. We found the utility easy to use with one or many files. The program supports splitting multiple files, or you can easily select a file from within any directory.

The only inconvenience we experienced was file name truncation. TIFF Splitter’s output file names only include the first seven characters of the input files. This can cause confusion in a directory of similarly-named files.

TIFF Splitter is freeware, runs with low memory and minimal disk space consumption. Anybody needing this function will find the program accurate, reliable and useful.
