As its name suggests, this unique application helps you to create and design your own mazes, though some of its advertised features appear to be missing.
Maze Creator’s interface is plain, but it does provide users with a comprehensive Help file and preloaded sample mazes. As the designer, you can choose the style, dimension, page width and behavior of your maze using the Setup Maze feature. The program allows you to manually create your own puzzles from scratch, or with the help of the Make Maze feature, the program builds the puzzle for you. Creating a maze using this feature took only a few seconds, but we were unable to print the solution page. Also, the Solve Maze option was nowhere to be found.
Mazes can be exported as BMP, GIF, TIFF OR EMF formats. Maze Creator’s 45-day trial period is one of the more generous we’ve seen, though you need to divulge your e-mail address during installation. Despite some limitations, die-hard puzzle fans may find this application worthwhile.
