We consider this application more of a small collection of basic batch-processing tools than a full-fledged photo editor. Easy Photo Editor can resize, rename, rotate, watermark, and convert files among a number of popular image formats. Once you locate a folder via the treelike menu in the main window’s left pane, the application will display thumbnails of every shot found inside. Still, we wish you could preview your changes before you applied them. We are glad to see clearly labeled icons for all major actions, although the tools for adjusting brightness, contrast, and sharpness are located within the Convert menu item. The watermarking utility gives you a decent amount of control over stamps, letting you determine the exact position of graphics or text. In our tests, the program seemed speedy enough, but since the demo only processes six shots at a time, we can’t vouch for its performance when working with large batches of images. Also, we were unpleasantly surprised to find neither a help file nor a link to online help. Easy Photo Editor is best for self-starters who need to apply simple edits to multiple files at once.
