This easy-to-use program comes pretty close to offering all the capabilities enjoyed by professional disk jockeys. DJ-1800 emulates the Denon DN-1800F CD-player system, a unit familiar to almost anyone working in radio. With the ability to add similar functionality to your Mac, you can access pro-quality tools for audio, cueing, searching, and mixing.
With all of its features, the app works well for amateur or low-budget radio gigs, as well as for DJ-ing in a club. This upgrade promises support for more audio files, finds songs faster, and supports the Griffin PowerMate search/scan controller. For full sessions, you’ll need to register. We think aspiring DJs who want to go digital should definitely give this app a once-over.
