If you’ve ever felt even the slightest desire to spend the afternoon gardening, this screensaver might be for you. It doesn’t quite live up to its name, but the program does display 54 photos of genuinely lovely flowers. Unfortunately, we didn’t find the image quality to be uniformly high. Users can set the delay between images, change the image order, switch background color and image size, and choose transition effects. It also allows users to leave a virtual sticky note on the screen while the program is operating. It does not provide its own soundtrack, and–perhaps most notable from our botany-impaired perspective–does not include captions for the flowers. Nevertheless, any computer user with an eye for the blooming side of life may well find this an appealing download.
