This curious turn-based space-action game has the player commanding a squadron of attack fighters out to destroy an enemy space station. The spacecraft maneuver in two dimensions against a starry background dotted with asteroids. At the start of each turn, the player selects thrust and rate of turn, and if necessary, chooses a missile to fire. Clicking the End Turn button moves the action forward a few clicks. It sounds maddening, and it is. For their part, the graphics and the sound effects would have seemed primitive fifteen years ago. And the gameplay is terribly limited. Your control over the other ships in the squadron is limited to a few basic formation commands. No half-decent gamer will need any more than two or three tries to beat the demo’s one included level. Move along, space fans. There’s nothing to see here.
